Language models read websites differently from people. They receive the same HTML a browser does — navigation, cookie banner, footer, the actual text somewhere in between — and have to guess which of it is the content. They guess wrong regularly.
AI Bridge serves your TYPO3 content in a format language models can use directly: as llms.txt to specification and as Markdown for every single page. On top of that comes a search assistant that answers visitors' questions — citing sources from your own pages instead of inventing facts.
AI readiness has two sides: how well AI systems can reach and read your content at all — and how well questions are answered on the website itself. AI Bridge covers both.
The first side is pure accessibility. A crawler such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot or PerplexityBot requests your page and receives a document built for eyes. It has to work out which paragraph is on topic, what is navigation and how the sections relate. AI Bridge takes that work off its hands and supplies the structure with it: an llms.txt as a signpost through the website and, for every page, a Markdown version without the noise.
The second side concerns your visitors. Someone with a question who finds no answer goes back to the search engine — and may well end up somewhere else. The search assistant answers questions like that directly on the page and says where the answer comes from.
Three building blocks are permanently free and run without a key. Three more are unlocked by a subscription key.
The extension generates an llms.txt to the specification of llmstxt.org — with the navigation structure, the topics, contact details and a description. Available at /.well-known/llms.txt. For AI crawlers it is the direct signpost through your website.
An .md appended to the page URL returns the content as Markdown — the format ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity handle most reliably. No navigation, no scripts, no noise.
A backend module shows which AI crawler — GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and others — fetched which page and when. A rate limiter slows down access that gets out of hand.
A chat window answers visitors' questions directly on the page. Without an API key it offers matching pages as suggestions; with a key configured, a language model formulates a short answer and names the pages it came from.
The "Enquiries" module shows what visitors asked and where the answer came from — the most reliable source there is for what content is still missing.
In the "Answers" module editors maintain question-and-answer pairs. A question that matches in substance is answered verbatim; one that matches approximately is passed to the language model as a binding hint.

No. Both the llms.txt and the Markdown export are generated from the existing page tree and the existing content elements. What you change in the backend is changed in the machine-readable version at the same moment.
Not for llms.txt, the Markdown export or the crawler log — those run without registration and without an expiry date.
The search assistant works without a key too, but then only suggests matching pages instead of formulating an answer. Formulated answers additionally require your own key with a model provider.
Yes. With a free trial key you can test the search assistant and the backend modules «Enquiries» and «Answers» on your own TYPO3 website for 14 days. The key arrives by e-mail right away, no payment details are needed, and it does not renew – after 14 days it simply stops working.
llms.txt, the Markdown export and the bot access log need no key and run without a time limit anyway.
TYPO3 13 and 14. Older versions are deliberately not served — anyone still on 11 or below has a more urgent job in a TYPO3 upgrade anyway.
No. Only pages that are publicly reachable anyway are included. Access-protected pages, hidden pages and anything excluded from search stay out.
Yes. Installation, configuring the texts per language and setting up the assistant are done in half a day. On request we first go through together which content should be made machine-readable at all.
No, GEO complements it. Clean page titles, meaningful headings, structured data and fast loading times remain the foundation – for search engines and AI systems alike. AI Bridge builds on that and additionally makes the existing TYPO3 content machine-readable.

Yes. Every language gets its own llms.txt, and every page points to the version in its language. Title, description and additional information of the llms.txt as well as the texts of the search assistant can be maintained per language in the TYPO3 site configuration. Several websites in one TYPO3 installation are kept cleanly apart as well.
You decide. The search assistant gets its language model through the TYPO3 extension AiM, where provider, model and API key are configured centrally for the whole installation – for example Claude by Anthropic, OpenAI or a self-hosted model via Ollama. AiM also logs every request together with its cost.
The answers rely solely on the content of your own website and link to the matching pages.
