TYPO3 extension for AI readiness ## AI Bridge So that ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI find, understand and correctly cite your content Language models read websites differently from people. They receive the same HTML a browser does — navigation, cookie banner, footer, the actual text somewhere in between — and have to guess which of it is the content. They guess wrong regularly. AI Bridge serves your TYPO3 content in a format language models can use directly: as **llms.txt** to specification and as Markdown for every single page. On top of that comes a search assistant that answers visitors' questions — citing sources from your own pages instead of inventing facts. [ Ask for advice ](https://www.web-nomads.ch/en/contact.md)[ All our extensions ](https://www.web-nomads.ch/en/extensions.md) - 3features free of charge - 3features by subscription - 13 + 14TYPO3 versions - 365days per term ## What AI readiness actually means AI readiness has two sides: how well AI systems can reach and read your content at all — and how well questions are answered on the website itself. AI Bridge covers both. The first side is pure accessibility. A crawler such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot or PerplexityBot requests your page and receives a document built for eyes. It has to work out which paragraph is on topic, what is navigation and how the sections relate. AI Bridge takes that work off its hands and supplies the structure with it: an `llms.txt` as a signpost through the website and, for every page, a Markdown version without the noise. The second side concerns your visitors. Someone with a question who finds no answer goes back to the search engine — and may well end up somewhere else. The search assistant answers questions like that directly on the page and says where the answer comes from. ## What you get out of it - AI systems cite your content correctly instead of piecing something together. - A backend log shows in black and white which crawler fetched which page and when — so you can see whether it is working. - The logged visitor questions are the most reliable source there is for what content your website is still missing. - No double maintenance: everything is generated from the existing page tree. ## Agent Analytics ### The building blocks in detail Three building blocks are permanently free and run without a key. Three more are unlocked by a subscription key. #### llms.txt generated automatically Free The extension generates an llms.txt to the specification of llmstxt.org — with the navigation structure, the topics, contact details and a description. Available at `/.well-known/llms.txt`. For AI crawlers it is the direct signpost through your website. #### Markdown export for language models Free An `.md` appended to the page URL returns the content as Markdown — the format ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity handle most reliably. No navigation, no scripts, no noise. #### AI crawlers in view Free A backend module shows which AI crawler — GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and others — fetched which page and when. A rate limiter slows down access that gets out of hand. #### An AI search assistant on the website Subscription A chat window answers visitors' questions directly on the page. Without an API key it offers matching pages as suggestions; with a key configured, a language model formulates a short answer and names the pages it came from. #### Every question logged Subscription The "Enquiries" module shows what visitors asked and where the answer came from — the most reliable source there is for what content is still missing. #### Answers of your own Subscription In the "Answers" module editors maintain question-and-answer pairs. A question that matches in substance is answered verbatim; one that matches approximately is passed to the language model as a binding hint. ### Free or subscription The building blocks for AI readiness — llms.txt, the Markdown export and the crawler log — are permanently free and run without a key. The search assistant and its two backend modules are unlocked with a subscription key. #### Free CHF 0permanently The complete foundation — no registration, no key, no expiry date. - llms.txt nach Spezifikation - Markdown-Export jeder Seite - KI-Crawler-Log im Backend - Rate-Limiter gegen Dauerzugriffe - KI-Suchassistent auf der Website - Gesprächsprotokoll im Backend - Eigene Antworten hinterlegen [ To the extension ](https://extensions.typo3.org/extension/wn_ai_bridge)Recommended#### Subscription CHF 19.90per month Everything in Free — plus the search assistant on the website and the two backend modules, valid for up to two domains. Billed once a year: CHF 238.80 for 365 days.
The key is issued encrypted and signed and applies to the domains given when ordering. A term runs for 365 days and renews automatically afterwards. A cancellation received at least 30 days before the end prevents the next charge. Price excluding VAT.
## Questions about AI Bridge What is GEO, and why does it matter for my TYPO3 website?**GEO** stands for *Generative Engine Optimization*: making sure AI systems such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity or Google's AI Overviews find your content, understand it and cite it as a source. More and more people ask an AI first instead of a search engine. A TYPO3 website is built for people – with navigation, layout and scripts that get in the way of a language model reading it. AI Bridge additionally provides the same content in a form AI systems can process directly. How does AI Bridge improve the GEO of a TYPO3 website? - an **llms.txt** following the llmstxt.org standard, generated automatically from the TYPO3 page tree - a **Markdown version of every page** at the same address with the extension `.md` - optionally an **llms-full.txt** with the entire content in one file - references in the HTML head and in the HTTP headers that lead AI crawlers to these versions - a **bot access log** that shows which AI crawlers actually visit your website All of this is free and needs no subscription. Do I have to maintain content twice? No. Both the llms.txt and the Markdown export are generated from the existing page tree and the existing content elements. What you change in the backend is changed in the machine-readable version at the same moment. Do I need an API key?Not for llms.txt, the Markdown export or the crawler log — those run without registration and without an expiry date. The search assistant works without a key too, but then only suggests matching pages instead of formulating an answer. Formulated answers additionally require your own key with a model provider. Can I try AI Bridge before buying?Yes. With a [free trial key](https://www.web-nomads.ch/en/extensions/ai-bridge/ai-bridge-trial.md) you can test the search assistant and the backend modules «Enquiries» and «Answers» on your own TYPO3 website for 14 days. The key arrives by e-mail right away, no payment details are needed, and it does not renew – after 14 days it simply stops working. llms.txt, the Markdown export and the bot access log need no key and run without a time limit anyway. Which TYPO3 versions are supported?TYPO3 13 and 14. Older versions are deliberately not served — anyone still on 11 or below has a more urgent job in a **TYPO3 upgrade** anyway. Does llms.txt give away content that is not public? No. Only pages that are publicly reachable anyway are included. Access-protected pages, hidden pages and anything excluded from search stay out. Do you set it up for us?Yes. Installation, configuring the texts per language and setting up the assistant are done in half a day. On request we first go through together which content should be made machine-readable at all. Does GEO replace classic SEO in TYPO3?No, GEO complements it. Clean page titles, meaningful headings, structured data and fast loading times remain the foundation – for search engines and AI systems alike. AI Bridge builds on that and additionally makes the existing TYPO3 content machine-readable. How well your website is set up for AI systems today is shown by the [GEO check](https://www.web-nomads.ch/en/services/geo-check.md). Does AI Bridge work with multilingual TYPO3 websites?Yes. Every language gets its own llms.txt, and every page points to the version in its language. Title, description and additional information of the llms.txt as well as the texts of the search assistant can be maintained per language in the TYPO3 site configuration. Several websites in one TYPO3 installation are kept cleanly apart as well. Which AI models does the search assistant use?You decide. The search assistant gets its language model through the TYPO3 extension **AiM**, where provider, model and API key are configured centrally for the whole installation – for example Claude by Anthropic, OpenAI or a self-hosted model via Ollama. AiM also logs every request together with its cost. The answers rely solely on the content of your own website and link to the matching pages. ## Got a TYPO3 project in mind?
